Jeff Manes Book Signing

Jeff Manes Book Signing

Marshall J. Gardner Center For The Arts

Celebrate First Fridays at the MJGC with NWI’s favorite author and all-around salt of the earth guy Jeff Manes.  Jeff will be doing live readings of excerpts of his book “All Worth Their Salt” with some of his friends and signing his latest book at the Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts on Friday, November 4 from 5-8pm.

Jeff was a steelworker and now writes a column for the Post Tribune. “All Worth Their Salt” is a brilliant collection of interviews of a cross section of a region of Indiana that few people know of – Northwest Indiana. This collection tells the story of immigrants, steel mill workers, veterans of World War II, and people who think they are just plain folk without a story to tell, but when the author sits down with them, he brings out what makes them unique.

You will also be able to see Mathias “Spider” Schergen’s solo art exhibit “Objectified” – unique pieces of art created from found objects featuring mandalas, crosses, figures, and more.
