A world class street photographer, Shay wondered countless miles throughout the 1950s exploring the city with author Nelson Algren, the winner of the first National Book Award.
Shay’s photography is included in the permanent collections of museums including the National Portrait Gallery, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Photography – Chicago. And is now on display at the Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts!

Tickets are $10 and will be available for purchase at the door on the night. Free popcorn, Cash Bar

Did you know Nelson Algren was a Millerite? Come learn more about him and meet writer/producer/director Michael Caplan at the screening of his film “Algren” Saturday June 27th 7pm. Jointly sponsored by the Nelson Algren Society of Miller Beach and the Miller Beach Arts & Creative District. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. Proceeds from ticket sales and refreshments will be used to fund future events.
