Nelson Algren Photography Exhibit

Marshall J. Gardner Center For The Arts

A world class street photographer, Shay wondered countless miles throughout the 1950s exploring the city with author Nelson Algren, the winner of the first National Book Award.

Shay’s photography is included in the permanent collections of museums including the National Portrait Gallery, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Photography – Chicago. And is now on display at the Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts!
