As artists, performers, creators, writers, space holders, designers of creative spaces we know well that creativity cannot be rushed nor controlled. Our creativity teaches us the natural flow of the cycles of action and rest.
For thousands of years, Cacao has been the companion, an ally of the artist’s way. She holds the potential to activate the vast depths of creation within us that we may not even be aware of. Cacao holds the magnificent beauty and authenticity of Nature that is a vital source for remaining in the surrendered flow of our creativity.
Cacao is strong, expressive and wise, yet mothering, soothing and nurturing. When consuming Cacao we feel awake, clear minded and energized, yet relaxed, grounded and centered.
Join Samanta, to learn and experience the power of Cacao as a Divine companion on your creative path. We will drink Cacao together, enjoy a guided meditation, journal, and have an open discussion. Bring a journal and a pen!

Pop culture icons and next-gen comics fuel this six-year road film, activating small-town folks to rebuild vandalized clinics, exposing wrongdoer politicians, anti-abortion extremists, and media neglect as the race to the bottom ensues and our rights burn down. Yoga workshop: Ahimsa and Yoga Philosophy

- Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts
- 540 S. Lake Street, Gary IN 46403

Yoga starts with ahimsa. Ahimsa, or non-violence, is the first yama, the first of the eight limbs of yoga. Ahimsa was an essential component of Gandhi’s satyagraha, or truth-force, to liberate India from the British. This, in turn, influenced Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights movement. The workshop begins with a lecture on the history of ahimsa and how it can work in our daily lives.
The workshop, taught by Mary Schons, includes a lecture followed by an ahimsa-themed yoga practice.
Or purchase all four yoga workshops for $100.
