LaRon Emcee, is a painter, illustrator and street artist from Gary, IN. He studied visual art at Emerson VPA and Fine Arts at Indiana University Northwest. LaRon uses different mediums to create characters rooted in urban counter culture. Not sticking to one particular medium gives him a wide range to create a variety of images and still maintain his artistic identity. His work is heavily influenced by afro-futurism, cartoons, comic books, realism, portraiture and street art. He attempts to mix them all as much as possible. He has shown and sold original art works in Gary, IN, Atlanta, GA, San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL, Memphis, TN, Las Vegas, NV, New York, Japan, Australia, and Denmark to name a few.
