Not resting on our laurels, we are co-hosting with the Miller Beach Arts and Creative District, a Winter Film Series at their headquarters: the Gardner Center on Lake St. Our inspiration is a Danish/Norwegian word, “Hygge,” which means a mood of “coziness and comfortable conviviality.”
On Sunday, January 22, and on February 19 and March 19, a film will be shown. We’ll start with—fittingly—The Gardener, a 2016 film about Frank Cabot, influential gardener and plantsman. Cabot recounts his personal quest for perfection at Les Quatre Vents, his twenty-acre English style garden and summer estate.
Doors to the Gardner Center open at 1:00 pm, film begins at 1:30 pm. $5 entry fee gets you popcorn and a good time!! More info on the February and March films in upcoming issues of this newsletter and on our club website.
The series will continue on February 19 and March 19 with two other films!
