Linocut Printmaking Workshop

With Catherine Sollman

RSVP

Learn the fundamentals of relief printmaking with Catherine Sollman. In this class, you will plan an image, transfer it to the block, and end up with beautiful linocut prints. You will learn to carve safely and accurately, making a range of textures and marks. We will teach hand-printing, so you’ll be able to keep on making prints any time you get the urge! Please bring an apron or wear clothing that can get messy.

Catherine Sollman is a printmaker with over 20 years of experience who has taught privately as well as in the high school setting. She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Having continued her studies at Anchor Graphics, Spudnik Press, and Frogman’s Print Workshop among others, she works out of her home studio, focusing on monotype and relief.
