Kay’s Kabaret

An evening of songs and laughs!

Marshall J. Gardner Center For The Arts

Tickets

Friday, January 24, $35 Doors open at 6pm show starts at 7pm

Enjoy a special evening of songs and stories from Miller’s chanteuse, Kay Lewis. Performing tunes from the great American songbook and more of her all-time favorites, with duets and accompaniment featuring Miller friends Linda Murphy, Paul Weldin, and Greg Bueltmann. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres by Chef Lucero and complimentary beer and wine before and during the show.

Kay has been performing since she was a little girl in her Daddy’s church choir. Her family of musicians was called upon to provide music for nearly everything in town, from pageants to dances to clubs. You name it; the Bill Allison band was the one to call a la the Von Trapp Family of Williamsburg, KY. She went on to study music at the Univ. of Louisville, School of Music. Her “career” encompasses accompanying and directing choirs, singing lots of solos for weddings and funerals, and lots of talent shows. The really fun stint was being in a rock band for 11 years! She was the lead female singer and keyboardist. Kay has generously put this event together to support the Miller Beach Arts and Creative District.

Enjoy this special treat of an evening. Come…to the Kabaret!
