Gelli Plate Botanicals Workshop

With instructor Catherine Sollman

Register today ($20)

Gelli printing is the fastest, most spontaneous printmaking method. In this class, we’ll use found plant materials to create layered prints while exploring color, transparency, and composition. Some plant materials will be provided, but feel free to bring more from home! Any plants that are not very stiff or bulky will work. Please bring an apron or wear clothing that can get messy. Suitable for ages 16 and up.

Catherine Sollman is a printmaker with over 20 years of experience who has taught privately as well as in the high school setting. She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Having continued her studies at Anchor Graphics, Spudnik Press, and Frogman’s Print Workshop among others, she works out of her home studio, focusing on monotype and relief.

This event is sponsored by the Legacy Foundation.
