It always comes back to the Indiana Dunes when talking about the lakeshore neighborhood of Gary Indiana. Located within a National Park this landscape provides endless opportunities for artists to interpret the beauty of nature.
For a June/July exhibit the Miller Beach Arts & Creative District presents two local artists – working in watercolor & acrylic – to combine their body of works reflecting the Indiana Dunes into one beautiful expressive exhibit celebrating the beauty of our neighborhood.

About Lynn Buckmaster of DeMotte Indiana. Lynn Buckmaster is a local artist, born and raised in N.W. Indiana. Lynn is a member of the Jasper County Art League. At present, her works can be found in several private collections across the United States. Lynn was encouraged at an early age to explore her artistic nature and creativity. With ongoing encouragement from many family, and friends, she continues to develop her drawing and painting skills, influenced by her love of nature. Her painted works are generally created in acrylic as she enjoys the versatile nature of that medium. Lynn enjoys painting both realistic and idyllic landscapes with natural color combinations infused with touches of bolder colors, and occasionally hidden elements. Lynn has a wide variety of these and custom order pieces you can view online at buckmasterart.com.
Lynn also instructs painting party events. Her hopes are to promote a love and appreciation for nature and the arts, while encouraging others to try creative activities and develop their talents.
