In the first of two book arts classes offered this Spring, participants will learn to make compact bound journals that can be personalized and adapted to a multitude of uses: journaling, sketching, note-taking, collaging, record-keeping, or unique art pieces! In this class, students will create a classic, hard-cover, cloth-bound pamphlet with a single signature and a double-signature (more pages) pamphlet with a paper cover developed and ornamented to suit your fancy.
All basic materials will be provided, but feel free to bring papers or artwork (like a beautiful linocut!) you would like to incorporate into your books. $25 class fee.
