Please join the Miller Beach Arts & Creative District for the Opening Reception of our latest exhibit – “Paint It Black”.
We are celebrating Black History Month with a mixed media exhibit of paintings, photographs, sculptures and textiles, as well as a documentary film which will be screened on Saturday February 17th.
Opening Reception is from 6-9pm on Friday February 9th
Exhibit runs Fridays and Saturdays 6-9pm and Sundays 1-4pm through February 25th
“Rosenwald” documentary film will be screened Saturday February 17th – doors open 6:30pm and the film starts at 7:00pm. $12 donation at the door includes film, introductory lecture, popcorn and soft drinks. Cash bar will be available from 6:30pm for beer and wine. “Rosenwald” documents the collaboration between businessman and philanthropist Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington as they built over 5000 schools in the south during the Jim Crow era.
