Live on Lake Street - Kenny Kinsey's Mojo Daddy band
Gary Indiana’s own Blues legend Kenny Kinsey will be giving us a treat for November’s Live on Lake Street music series.
In the early 80’s, after graduating from college, his brothers along with their father (Big Daddy Kinsey) came together to form the Kinsey Report. Three decades later, the Kinsey’s have recorded nine CD’s, toured nationally and internationally, traveling from Chicago to Tokyo; from Helsinki to Australia, sharing stages with such giants as B.B. King, Albert Collins, Allman Brothers, Black Crowes and many more. (Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes appears on the Kinsey Report’s 1993 Crossing Bridges CD.)
Ken continues to tour with the Kinsey Report. In between tours he also works with Wayne Baker Brooks, son of legendary Bluesman Lonnie Brooks, a band called “Funky MojoDaddy” and a “acoustic duo” with Gerry Hundt which performs locally and regionally.
Thank you to The Yard at Ono’s for sponsoring November’s LOLS concert!
$10 at the door, cash bar, mammoth pizza slices for $5, and a TON of FUN!
